- Partnership Takes On Psychiatric Disability.
The current, fragmented approach to psychiatric disability is costly to employers, debilitating for employees,
troubling for clinicians, and frustrating for all. The Partnership has taken a major step toward remedying this
situation by developing and producing Assessing and Treating Psychiatric Occupational Disability: New
Behavioral Health Functional Assessment Tools Facilitate Return to Work.

Employee Benefit News, a leading publication for HR professionals, and the Partnership for Workplace
Mental Health, released the results of a national survey in which employers from across the country
selected mental illness as the health issue that has the most effect on indirect costs.

For children, summer is an exciting time, filled with new experiences. Many children are going to camp for the first time, families are taking vacations,
and soon kids will get ready to go back to school. For most, these are fun and positive experiences, though some children may feel anxious or overwhelmed.
Parents, teachers, and other adults can help children cope. The APA offers families tips about traveling with children, children and summer camp and starting school. - Depression is Real
If you or someone you care about has ever suffered from depression, you know Depression Is Real. But you may have also heard that it's
"just the blues" or worse, a "made-up disease." Those kinds of statements obscure the real facts about this debilitating and potentially
deadly medical condition that affects some 19 million Americans every year.
The Depression Is Real Coalition has come together to help educate the public about the true nature of depression, and to offer hope. As employers, you are encouraged to make us of these expertly developed free materials for distribution to yoru employees and their families.
